Summary: Big on kitsch low on comfort The room was disorienting. A large room, but a completely inefficient use of space. No closet, no bureau, no shelves, no hooks. One small towel bar, they were so cheap with towels and toilet paper that we were always in search of something. Temperature control was marginal, the bed extremely uncomfortable, my back is still recovering. It seems they were more interested in making the place quirky than in guest comfort. The restaurant was mediocre. Arriving late and needing to eat, the hostess was discourteous. We were denied seating in the almost empty dining room because we didn’t have a reservation. The food was overpriced for the quality and the dining room was unfilled even after we finished our meal. The breakfast, again was overpriced for quality and the staff unhelpful. The lobby was impressive. We spent a lot of time there because the room was awful. However, there were no banisters on several levels so if you are elderly or have any physical difficulties, this is not the hotel for you.
