Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location of the property was quite good in the Old Town with a beautiful view from my room’s balcony, and it’s nice to not have bunk beds. WiFi worked well.

Negative: Honestly, it was all a little bit odd. There was no one on site for checking in early afternoon (or much of the time). Someone (who was very nice) was living in the room I was in. There is no a/c so it was hot and throughout the first night there were multiple times where my 3 roommates were closing/opening the windows, turning on/off fans, and repeat, with conversation, making it quite difficult to sleep on top of the Saturday night noise outside from the open windows. There was hot water to shower one day and not the next. There is no privacy or security in the rooms, one small light by the door, and only one electrical outlet by the door with a powerstrip to charge things. The bedroom door doesn’t lock. The showers have no hooks in them, despite the shower area being for men and women. The lockers are small boxes in the room for valuables but many were not in working condition. Mine had a broken hinge so you had to align it just right to close and lock it. I’d say it’s just very basic. I had booked at a different hostel in advance, but they cancelled last minute and this one had space. It works in a pinch.

Summary: All just a bit odd, but good location.
