This is NOT a high-raise apartment, like in big cities. Located 1st Floor above Ground, in 6-unit apartment building for great privacy.
The apartment is located about 15 km. west of Güzelyurt, Northern Cyprus (TRNC). [NOTE: This is different than the Republic of Cyprus/South Cyprus!]
Sand beach with swimming, snorkeling and kite-surfing. Large shopping center (Lemar) located on road to resort (6 km.). Fish restaurant at 5 km.
Visit 3 medieval castles on the 5-Finger Range; great harbor at Kyrenia/Gerne (50 min). Day-trips to Nicosia (Lefkosia) and Famagusta (including Roman city of Salamis) and the wonderful, sandy Karpos Peninsula (turtles and beach!).
The flat is located 70 min by rental car from the airport at Nicosia/Lefkosia (North - ECN), or 100 min from Larnaca (across the Green Line in the South - LCA). As in GB, drive on the left side of road. I can refer you to several car rental companies (listed on my extensive web site).
Turkish is spoken throughout the Northern part of the island, and Greek in the South. English is used as the second language in urban areas. Russian in touristed areas.
Travel in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) reminds me of travel in Turkey, but the TRNC has a less-developed infrastructure, so you have to be more creative, flexible and patient while traveling and communicating there. You can use a credit card in most established businesses, or either Turkish Lira or GBP cash in smaller businesses.
You will receive private gate pass, apartment key and additional info during your stay. The Aphrodite Beachfront Village (ABV) Complex Office is open M-F between 9-5, but they have a key box for 24-hour apt. key pick-up.
