Point Loma is located near San Diego International Airport, and our home is under the airport's departure flight path. You will hear aircraft passing overhead during daytime and evening operating hours, particularly while enjoying the outdoor decks and backyard.
Locals affectionately refer to this as the “Point Loma Pause”: those few moments when a passing aircraft can briefly interrupt an outdoor conversation.
It's a familiar part of life in Point Loma and something many locals consider part of the character of the neighborhood, but we want every guest to know about it before booking.
San Diego International Airport has a nighttime departure curfew prohibiting most scheduled departures between 11:30 PM and 6:30 AM, subject to permitted exceptions and emergency operations.
